FREE Self-Study Courses
SMS is pleased to offer our paying subscribers the opportunity to earn 8 hours of free self-study continuing education credits per year.*
Our self-study CE courses are offered up to four times per year. Each course has a deadline. To participate at no charge, you must submit your answer form by the deadline. Detailed self-study instructions.

CE Course #3 - "Panoramic Techniques and Technique Errors"
2016 CE Course #3 is no longer accepting electronic submissions. However, if you would submit a hard copy of your quiz, please scroll to the bottom of the page and select the "Courses available for purchase" tab to access the course. As a reminder, there will be a $25.00 processing fee since the free submission deadline has passed.
Once you have completed the quiz, please be sure to complete our feedback survey about the course!
Upon submission of your answers online, SMS will generate a certificate of completion for you. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of this certificate. Keep in mind, SMS will mail the certificate to the address that you provide on your answer form.
How to Earn FREE CE Credits
Dental professionals in your office may earn free CE credits. Each person must read the self-study course materials and then complete an answer form online. Credit hours are issued in the form of a certificate for the successful completion of each self-study course. A total of 6/8 questions must be answered correctly to receive CE credit.
After the Deadline. . .
Once the deadline has passed, SMS subscribers may still participate and earn 2 CE credits for a $25 processing fee. Please contact the SMS office for more details.
For those not subscribed to the SMS service, courses may be purchased for $50 each, paid in advance.
