This position, which includes serving as the Clinic Director in charge of managing clinical operations, offers an exciting opportunity to participate in a division that is structured on the principles of patient care through a comprehensive, vertically integrated small group practice, and interdisciplinary model of care delivery. The faculty member in this position will provide didactic education and clinical instruction in oral and maxillofacial radiology to students in the college’s pre- and post-doctoral dental programs and the dental hygiene program. Other responsibilities will include participation in and strategic expansion of current CBCT imaging and diagnostic services provided by the college and in the intramural Dental Faculty Practice. As a central component of the new facility that is planned for the college, an expanded and fully-equipped oral and maxillofacial radiology clinical operation will be constructed. The unit will serve as the primary training site for an advanced education program in oral and maxillofacial radiology. In the near future, the college will benefit from a new and expanded pre-doctoral pediatric dentistry clinic with full outpatient surgical capabilities supported by the college’s dental anesthesiology residency program. The vice chair will play a significant role in the planning, design, and construction phases of the new clinic facility, in addition to selecting appropriate equipment.
