The five-year award supports a project titled "Enamelysin Processing Mechanisms in Amelogenesis." This research is aimed at defining how enamelysin, a tooth-specific matrix metalloproteinase (MMP20), processes so that enamel will bind tightly to the underlying dentin.Read more
