Additional Information

KidSMILES Pediatric Dental Clinic is looking for a part-time dentist with a strong work ethic and passion for treating underserved children. Since opening our doors in 2012, we’ve been a volunteer run 501c3 clinic serving 450 patients (ages 18 and under) a year. Our goal is to provide a dental home to those children that are in “the gap” between qualifying for Medicaid and affording private health insurance. We provide high-quality, comprehensive care in a child friendly setting for a flat fee of $20 per visit or $40 per family. Thanks to a grant, we hired our first part-time dentist in 2018 to work with and lead our team of professional volunteers within the organization as we tackle the access to oral health care crisis in our community. This is an amazing growth opportunity, both professionally and personally, for a dentist wanting to impact a minimum of 1,000 more vulnerable children at our clinic each year. If you want to change the trajectory of a vulnerable child’s health and smile, then our clinic will allow you to do dentistry that is truly life changing. We offer flexible work hours and potential teaching opportunities. Applicants may be eligible for loan forgiveness through the Ohio Department of Health. If you are ready to join a team of positive professionals that love what they do, we want to hear from you. Ohio dental license in good standing is required. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is truly compassionate, has the desire to work underserved children, and wants to make a visible impact in the community. New graduates are welcome to apply. Approximate start date: June 2019. Minimum one-year commitment. For more information, please contact:
