A tenured appointment requires candidates to demonstrate a record of research, scholarly works, and teaching excellence. The primary responsibility of the Director of Admissions is to provide leadership in the recruitment and admission of students for the college’s DDS and BSDH programs. Candidates must have a DDS/DMD, DPH, EdD, or PhD degree. Preference will be given to those with experience and evidence of success in student recruiting for health professional colleges, especially in dentistry. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a maxillofacial prosthodontist for a full time, clinical-track or tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or as a tenured Associate Professor, in the Division of Restorative Science and Prosthodontics with a joint appointment at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. For a tenured appointment, candidates must demonstrate a sustained, outstanding record in teaching and research. The primary academic responsibilities for this faculty position will be contributing to the didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral program and the graduate program in Advanced Prosthodontics. The responsibilities of the position include pre-doctoral and resident education with an emphasis in anesthesiology and pharmacology, as well as participating in the school’s intramural practice. Candidates must be board certified or an active candidate for certification, and must be eligible for licensure in Ohio.
