The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a maxillofacial prosthodontist for a full time, clinical-track or tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or as a tenured Associate Professor, in the Division of Restorative Science and Prosthodontics with a joint appointment at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. For a tenured appointment, candidates must demonstrate a sustained, outstanding record in teaching and research. The primary academic responsibilities for this faculty position will be contributing to the didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral program and the graduate program in Advanced Prosthodontics. The responsibilities of the position include pre-doctoral and resident education with an emphasis in anesthesiology and pharmacology, as well as participating in the school’s intramural practice. Candidates must be board certified or an active candidate for certification, and must be eligible for licensure in Ohio. Qualified candidates may pursue a dual appointment in the Department of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC), which includes the opportunity to practice in the hospital’s main operating rooms.Read more

This position will lead a division structured on the principles of patient care through a comprehensive, vertically-integrated small group practice, and interdisciplinary model of care delivery. Responsibilities include: administration; strategic curriculum planning; resource management; classroom, clinical, and online instruction as appropriate; development of junior faculty; supporting and refining an integrated approach to educating dental hygiene and dental students; and maintaining a record of scholarly activity. Read more

The faculty member in this position will provide didactic education and clinical instruction in oral and maxillofacial radiology to students in the college’s pre- and post-doctoral dental programs and the dental hygiene program. Other responsibilities will include participation in and strategic expansion of current CBCT imaging and diagnostic services provided by the college and in the intramural Dental Faculty Practice. As a central component of the new facility that is planned for the college, an expanded and fully-equipped oral and maxillofacial radiology clinical operation will be constructed. The unit will serve as the primary training site for an advanced education program in oral and maxillofacial radiology. In the near future, the college will benefit from a new and expanded pre-doctoral pediatric dentistry clinic with full outpatient surgical capabilities supported by the college’s dental anesthesiology residency program. The vice chair will play a significant role in the planning, design, and construction phases of the new clinic facility, in addition to selecting appropriate equipment. Top priorities for the new facility include innovative approaches to delivering care and educating students, and increased access for underserved and developmentally disabled children.Read more
