The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applicants for a full-time, open rank, clinical or tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry to serve as Associate Director of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. Responsibilities for this position include didactic instruction, direct clinical supervision of residents, and select administrative tasks. Other duties include support of the overall mission of the division, participate in college-sponsored activities, and contribute to university and college governance. Practice opportunities exist in the college’s affiliated Dental Faculty Practice.
Candidates must have: DDS/DMD or equivalent degree; completed a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics; comprehensive and demonstrated experience with all phases of fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics; and be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Preference will be given to candidates with board certification or board eligibility from the American Board of Prosthodontics, prior experience in graduate education and interdisciplinary care of patients and the application of digital technology, and all aspects of laboratory procedures, advanced degrees, research accomplishments, and leadership in organized prosthodontics. For a tenure-track appointment, candidates must demonstrate a sustained, outstanding record of teaching and protocol-driven research with the potential for future grant support.
