Biography

My principal focus is to provide quality dental care to patients and to value a patient’s positive experience. I highly value ongoing learning and have used my time as a dentist to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become an expert clinician.

I received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from the College of Charleston, SC, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Kentucky. I completed the dual-General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the University of Kentucky and Lexington VA Medical Center, where I became IV conscious sedation certified and had further training in placement/restoring implant, fixed/removable prosthodontics, endodontics, and all areas in general dentistry.

Additionally, I gained extensive knowledge in treating medically compromised patients including patients under radiation/chemotherapy, hospital dental clearance, and treating patients housed in the VA’s Community Living Center. This program consists of 80-100 patients with acute and chronic medical needs such as hospice, respite, acute rehabilitative care, and chronic long-term care.

Prior to The Ohio State University (OSU), I resided in Lexington, Kentucky, practicing dentistry and volunteered Mission Lexington, a free dental clinic for under-served patients. In OSU, I served as the Assistant Group Leader in the pre-doctoral clinic and currently serve as an attending dentist in General Practice Residency Program. I am a member of the Special Care Dentistry Association, ADEA, and ICOI.
