“Integrating the college’s dental clinics into The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s electronic health record system represents a significant advancement in our ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality care,” said Dean Carroll Ann Trotman. “This unified platform enhances communication and collaboration across providers, ultimately benefiting our patients.”
This milestone marks the culmination of nearly three years of planning, preparation and collaboration with OSUWMC, the college’s partner Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and other contributors—including seven working groups, more than 80 project team members, and eight different consultants/vendor partners.
In addition to improved patient outcomes, the shared system also enhances oral health education experiences and interprofessional learning opportunities for students and faculty.
