Three College of Dentistry Students Named Sesquicentennial Student Leaders
College of Dentistry students Melissa Landsman ’21 (DDS); Rina Rashid ’21 (DHY), and Andrea Tsatalis ’20 (DDS) were among 150 students at Ohio State to each be awarded $2,500 scholarships in honor of the university’s 150th anniversary. Now part of the Sesquicentennial Student Scholar Leadership Program, the three students are participating in leadership development and ambassador opportunities that will afford them the opportunity to build skills essential to becoming engaged citizens.
Reflecting on the university’s milestone anniversary, Andrea Tsatalis shared: “With a landmark called Mirror Lake, it is fitting that the sesquicentennial of Ohio State is marked by reflection on the university’s educational legacy; on 150 years of hope, citizenship and innovation; and on the diversity that has come together in one location for 15 decades.”
