A Team Effort: Preparing for the 2028 Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Review
CODA sets standards for dental education programs across the country. These standards help make sure students receive a quality education and are prepared to provide excellent patient care.
Accreditation is a team effort that brings together college leadership, faculty, staff, and students. The process helps the college continue to provide an outstanding educational experience.
The next CODA site visit for the college will be April 4-6, 2028.
Accreditation occurs every seven years. The college’s predoctoral and dental hygiene programs, along with most of our advanced education programs, will be reviewed at that time.
Faculty and staff have already started preparing for a mock site visit on November 17 and 18, 2026. A mock site visit is a practice run for the official review. It helps the college find ways to improve, highlight its strengths, and prepare for the official accreditation visit.
