37th Annual Research Day: Virtual Event - February 23
This year's Research Day event offers virtual presentations of research projects conducted by the college's dental and dental hygiene students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and residents, along with an array of oral and poster presentations. The virtual event also features a distinguished lecturer from among the world's leading oral health researchers.
Distinguished Lecturer: Mary L. Marazita, PhD, is a Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Oral Biology, and the Associate Dean of Research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She is also the founder and co-director of the Center for Craniofacial and Dental Genetics in the School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Marazita's research focuses on the genetics of cleft lip and palate, and the identification of maternal and fetal genetic factors in premature birth. Her lecture is titled "Orofacial Cleft Studies around the World."
