Ahmed Abdelkarim, BDS, MSc, MSD, Joins RCDC Fellows
Dr. Ahmed Abdelkarim joined the college faculty last November as an Assistant Professor-Clinical in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He earned his dental degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo (Egypt), and then completed a Master of Science degree in clinical research from the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. Continuing his professional education, Dr. Abdelkarim enrolled in the advanced education program in oral and maxillofacial radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received a Master of Dental Science degree.
Recently, Dr. Abdelkarim successfully completed the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) Fellowship examination in oral and maxillofacial radiology. Achieving Fellow status in the RCDC is a distinction that is given only to dental professionals who have demonstrated the highest level of competence and commitment to their specialty. Dr. Abdelkarim will be inducted as an RCDC Fellow at a ceremony on September 23.
