Brian Han Receives Board of Trustees' Student Recognition Award
At a ceremony held January 30, DDS-PhD student Brian Han received The Ohio State University Board of Trustees' Student Recognition Award, which honors students who demonstrate commitment to excellence within and outside the classroom.
Now in his final year of the college's seven-year dual degree program, Han will graduate this summer with a DDS degree and a PhD in oral biology. Throughout his time in the college, he has won an array of awards, including the Dean's Award for Excellence in Research in the Dental Student category (2009); the third-place prize for the ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Competition; and he recently was selected as a finalist in the International Association for Dental Research Unilever Hatton Competition for 2015.
Commenting on Han's Board of Trustees' award which recognizes commitment to excellence within and outside the classroom, Dean Patrick M. Lloyd said, "Brian is known for his academic excellence, his personal and professional integrity, and for representing all that is outstanding about our college and our student body. We congratulate him for receiving this well-deserved honor."
