Canise Bean, DMD, MPH, Wins NDAF/Colgate-Palmolive Faculty Recognition Award
Dr. Canise Bean is a faculty member in the Division of General Practice and Materials Science, and she is the Director of the Office of Community Education.
She was recently honored as the recipient of a National Dental Association Foundation (NDAF)/Colgate Palmolive Faculty Recognition Award. Presented annually, these awards recognize individuals who have "demonstrated excellence in professional development and a willingness to support and help others in their quest for knowledge and advancement."
Throughout her career Dr. Bean has received a number of awards and honors. In 2016, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Forest City Dental Society of Cleveland for her success in creating and implementing innovative oral health improvement programs for underserved adults and children in Ohio. She is also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists -- both of which recognize high ethical standards and dedication to service.
