Dental Hygiene Graduate Student Wins ADHA Scholarship
Ms. Sarah Youseff, a second-year student in the college's Master of Dental Hygiene program, was recently selected as a recipient of the American Dental Hygiene Association's (ADHA) Dr. Esther Wilkins Scholarship. Presented annually by the ADHA's Institute for Oral Health, the scholarship is given to a dental hygiene graduate student who "demonstrates a commitment to advance the discipline of dental hygiene." The scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Esther Wilkins, a dental hygienist and dentist who is known as the author of a foundational textbook, "Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist," that helped to standardize the way dental hygiene is taught worldwide.
