Dental Hygiene Students Receive Hummel Family Scholarships
Senior dental hygiene students Suyee Chen, Makenna Foust and Marisol Vargas and junior dental hygiene students Rachel Albertson, Ayah Musaitif and Yolanda Vincente Mendoza were recently chosen as recipients of the Hummel Family Scholarship.
Created by Mrs. Carole Hummel, an alumna of the college’s dental hygiene class of 1958, and her husband, the late Dr. Robert Hummel, who graduated from Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1961, the scholarship provides financial assistance for students in the dental hygiene program.
Established by the Hummel Family Foundation, the Dental Hygiene Scholarship is a renewable award that provides full tuition and fees for dental hygiene students who demonstrate leadership skills, financial need, the ability to contribute to society, and are the first members of their family to attend college.
