Dental Students Recognized with Scholarships
Kierstyn Bays and Celene Garcia Martinez are Yardley Family Scholarship Winners
Senior Dental hygiene student Kierstyn Bays and junior dental hygiene student Celene Garcia Martinez are the current recipients of the Yardley Family Scholarship. In 2011, Mrs. Lou Ann Yardley Moritz Ransom established the Yardley Family Endowed Scholarship in Dental Hygiene, which fully funds tuition, books, and licensure and examination fees for one student in the Division of Dental Hygiene for their two years in the program. Mrs. Yardley Moritz Ransom graduated from the college's dental hygiene program in 1958. Her sisters, Jeanne Yardley Bogen and Mary Yardley Giannola, followed suit as they graduated with dental hygiene degrees from Ohio State in 1960 and 1979, respectively.
The Yardley Family Scholarship is intended to help provide an education for deserving students and to encourage them to support the college and its Division of Dental Hygiene once they are established in their careers.
