From Classroom to State Leadership: Dental Hygiene Student Farah Hassan Earns Delegate Role

Senior dental hygiene student Farah Hassan was honored by being selected as a student voting delegate at the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association (ODHA) Annual Session in Dublin, Ohio. This delegate role empowers students to represent their classmates at the state level and explore opportunities to shape the future of the dental hygiene profession.

The ODHA Annual Meeting brings together dental hygiene students from across Ohio for a weekend of networking, education and leadership development. Students gain insight into how ODHA advocates for the profession and supports students as they transition into their careers.

Ms. Hassan credits her leadership experiences as key to her path toward becoming a delegate. "After starting the dental hygiene program, I immediately began pursuing my passion for advocating on behalf of my beloved career choice by joining the Student Government Association board and the Clinical Operations Committee.”
