Emily Williams, D3, is President of Ohio State’s Interprofessional Council
Emily Williams, a member of the DDS Class of 2026, was recently elected by her peers to serve as President of Ohio State’s Interprofessional Council (IPC), which is the official student government of the six professional colleges of Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.
Members of the IPC serve Ohio State’s student body, along with the Council of Graduate Students and the Undergraduate Student Government to provide student representation within the shared governance of the University with Ohio State’s faculty and administrators. The IPC’s mission is to advance the betterment of higher education and student life at Ohio State; to be accessible to professional students; and to be a voice for professional issues. Commenting on her new role as IPC president, Emily said, “Professional students have a unique experience on campus and I am excited to work with Ohio State’s leadership to be an advocate for the professional student body."
