Jacinto Beard, DDS, Joins Foundation Board of Directors

Dr. Jacinto Beard, an alumnus of the Class of 1990 and a general dentist in Columbus, was recently selected as a member of Ohio State's Foundation Board of Directors. As an organization, the Foundation advances the university's mission by securing private support to benefit students, faculty, programs, and facilities. Members of the Board of Directors empower this work by guiding philanthropic endeavors and acting as ambassadors for Ohio State.

As a leader in Columbus's dental professional community for more than 30 years, Dr. Beard has been a past president of the Columbus Dental Society, the Columbus Association of Dentists, and the College of Dentistry's Dental Alumni Society. Commenting on his new role as a Foundation Board member, Dean Carroll Ann Trotman said, "Dr. Beard is the first of our alums who has been chosen to serve on the Foundation Board. This is a prestigious appointment and we are so pleased that he is there to represent us."
