Kazune Pax Receives NIDCR Fellowship
Ms. Kazune Pax, a DDS-PhD student, recently received a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for Individual Fellowships from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). Ms. Pax is now in her third year of the college's rigorous, seven-year program that leads to a combined DDS degree and PhD in oral biology.
Throughout her time in the college, Ms. Pax has received other awards and honors that include the Orville E. Russel Award of Excellence from the College of Dentistry's Theta Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. That award recognized her academic achievements and outstanding character. For her research efforts, she was selected as a finalist for the American Association of Dental Research's Hatton Award, and she also received the AADR/Dentsply Sirona SCADA Award at this year's Research Day event in the College of Dentistry.
