Lydia Lancaster, '16 DDS, Appointed to University Board of Trustees
On May 16, a news release from the Office of Governor John R. Kasich announced that Lydia Lancaster, '16 DDS, was appointed as the graduate/professional student representative on The Ohio State University's Board of Trustees.
The Board, which is comprised of 17 trustees, including two student members, oversees the "detailed rules and regulations" that support the university's organization. As a graduate/professional student member of the Board, Dr. Lancaster will participate in all discussions and deliberations, including executive sessions.
Dr. Lancaster, who will join the College of Dentistry's graduate program in orthodontics this fall, has been active in a number of student leadership roles. She is a former vice president of the university's chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), and she has served as ASDA's District 6 legislative liaison and its alternate delegate to the American Dental Association's House of Delegates. Dr. Lancaster will serve a two-year term as the graduate/professional student member of the Board of Trustees.
