A Milestone Worth Celebrating: Postle Hall Turns 75

Our History

In spring 1948, after 23 years in Hamilton Hall, the College of Dentistry broke ground on a new building on 12th Avenue. Construction took two years, and classes began in the new building in January 1951.

Twenty-six years later, the building was named Postle Hall in honor of former Dean Wendell D. Postle. 

Thousands of students have earned their degrees since then with the support of dedicated faculty and staff. Tens of thousands of patients have received care and countless memories have been made.

On Tuesday, August 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the college community will celebrate Postle Hall's 75th anniversary with hot dogs and ice cream in the courtyard.
