Thirty-eight members of our college shared their research at the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) Conference in San Diego. It was a great chance to connect with researchers from around the world.

A special highlight was Brian Foster, PhD, receiving a 2026 Distinguished Scientist Award in Basic Research in Biological Mineralization. Dr. Foster is chair of the Division of Biosciences. This award recognizes his work in dental and bone research. It is one of the highest honors given by the IADR.

Dr. Foster is known for his work on cementum and how teeth and bones become strong. His work continues to help move oral health science forward.

Congratulations to all of our presenters and to Dr. Foster on his well-earned honor. Their strong presence at IADR shows the college’s continued role in dental research and helps support future research and new ideas.
