Staff and Faculty Gather for Annual Forum

Staff and faculty met at the Ohio Union for our yearly Staff and Faculty Forum. At this meeting, we learn new information to help us do our jobs and grow.
Some of the highlights included the annual State of the College talk by the dean, and we heard from several other speakers:
- Dr. Akil Houston talked about Ohio State’s Shared Values and how they help us create a positive workplace.
- Dr. Rachel Kearney, along with influencers 2026 graduate Dr. Hope Baxter and D3 student Emily Powell, shared how students use social media.
- Mike Douglas explained how to spot and avoid phishing scams.
A special part of the day was the awards ceremony. We honored staff and faculty for their teaching, research and job performance, and we celebrated service milestones.
It was a great day of learning, teamwork, and celebration.
