Yi-Chu Wu, DDS, MS, Receives ADA’s “10 Under 10” Award

Dr. Yi-Chu Wu is an Assistant Professor-Clinical in the Division of Periodontology. She recently received the American Dental Association’s (ADA) “10 Under 10”award. It recognizes 10 dentists nationwide who graduated from dental school within the past 10 years, and who have demonstrated excellence in such areas as science, research, education, clinical practice excellence, leadership, advocacy, or philanthropy.

Dr. Wu is a graduate of Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine, where she received an MS degree and a certificate in periodontology. Prior to that, she earned a DDS degree from Taipei Medical University and completed a GPR program at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, both in Taipei, Taiwan. As a faculty member in the college, Dr. Wu is responsible for didactic and clinical instruction in the periodontal and implant curricula. She also maintains an active research program that includes projects related to implant dentistry in general, and periodontal infections in particular.
