Endodontics

Endodontic therapy treats the inside of the tooth.

Endodontic treatment is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, faulty crowns, or a crack or chip in the tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question How do I schedule an appointment?
Answer

Patients will need a referral from their general dentist explaining what tooth/teeth require root canal treatment/evaluation. The referral form to Advanced Endodontics must be completed and faxed or emailed by your general dentist’s office. Our fax number is 614-688-3608. Our email is [email protected]. Once our office has received your referral, we will add you to our list to be scheduled. Our office will call you when we are ready to schedule your dental appointment. Your scheduling will be dictated by appointment availability. Due to large patient population we serve, there may be a significant wait for your scheduled appointment.

Question What do I need upon arrival to my appointment?
Answer

Please bring a copy of your completed referral, a government issued photo ID, and your insurance card if applicable. If you are a new patient to the Advanced Endodontic Clinic please arrive 30 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment.

Question What kind of insurance does the Advanced Endodontic Clinic accept?
Answer

Delta Dental  and state sponsored programs - Medicaid, CareSource, Molina and United Health Care Community Plan. Treatment for patients with state sponsored programs may require prior authorization from the insurance provider. Co-payments and treatment not covered by these insurance plans must be paid  up front. Patients with other insurance carriers who have out of network benefits will pay in full and we will submit a claim to your carrier asking them to reimburse you.

*State sponsored insurance plans do not cover the dental procedure code D9110 – Palliative Treatment of Dental Pain, commonly referred to as an emergency root canal start, root canal therapy is still covered. Patients will need to pay out of pocket for the D9110 procedure. Should you have any questions about coverage please contact your insurance provider.*
