Methods of Payment

Ohio State Dental Clinic

Our Ohio State Dental Clinic patients are responsible for payment in full at the time of treatment.

Accepted methods of payment: Cash, check (established patients only), Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover (including Flexible Spending credit cards).

Patients with Delta Dental including Ohio State faculty, staff and students, are only required to pay estimated co-payments and deductibles. We also accept the following state sponsored insurance plans: Medicaid, CareSourceMolina, and United Healthcare Community Plan with these plans required co-pays are due at the time of service and payment in full for non-covered services. Patients with other insurance carriers who have out of network benefits will pay in full and we will submit a claim to your carrier asking them to reimburse you.

Payment exceptions

Payment exceptions can possibly be made for patients with extensive treatment plans; with most plans we can request a predetermination, after written results are returned by the insurance carrier the patients can pay only their estimated co-pays and deductibles up front. Predeterminations typically take 6-12 weeks and are not a guarantee of payment. Once treatment is complete and the claim is filed any outstanding balance not covered by the insurance carrier is the patients responsibility and due immediately.
