West Chester, Ohio. It's a suburb of Cincinnati that has the beloved IKEA.
B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Bio from The Ohio State University.
Why I chose The Ohio State University College of Dentistry:
I went to OSU for undergrad and got to know the school well. Knowing I wanted to stay in state, I knew OSU was the only place for me.
Why I wanted to become a dentist:
I knew I wanted to do something in the health field and control my own hours. After shadowing physicians, surgeons, and dentists, I loved how dentists connected with their patients on a personal level and most owned their own businesses.
Oral Anatomy. Learned more about teeth than I thought possible.
3 things people should know about me:
- I was born into an OSU family and am a huge fan of the buckeyes
- I love anything that involves sports
- I went to Europe for a few weeks before dental school started
What I enjoy doing outside of dental school:
Anything to do with sports.
Best advice for succeeding in dental school:
Always make time to do the activities you love to do. Dental school can be overwhelming, but making time for yourself goes a long way.
What do you wish you would have known as an incoming D1?
Realize that tuition is an investment into your future and don't get overwhelmed with all the debt.
Plans for after graduation:
Either do residency or head back to Cincinnati.
