2024: What a Year!

The year kicked off with Research Day on March 1, 2024. Nobel Laureate Steven Chu, PhD, served as the Keynote Distinguished Speaker, discussing "Climate Change and Innovative Paths Towards a More Sustainable Future." In March, the college hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of its new Oral and Maxillofacial (OMFR) Imaging clinic. Learn more about the facility.

Members from the two graduating dental Classes of 1974--the March '74 class and the December '74 class--along with the dental hygiene Class of 1974, celebrated their 50th reunions at the Golden Buckeye Dinner during Homecoming 2024. 

Also during homecoming, College of Dentistry dental and dental hygiene students took home Ohio State’s first-place float-building trophy for the eighth year in a row! View more homecoming photos.

Members of the College of Dentistry Peloton joined more than 7,000 riders for Pelotonia Ride Weekend in August. The annual event raises money for cancer research.

Students, friends and family gathered at Mershon Auditorium on August 19 to welcome the dental hygiene Class of 2026 and the dental Class of 2028 to Ohio State. View photos from the event.
